ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

The Paramedic functions as a member of the care team and participates in the care of ill and injured patients. Responsibilities include patient care, incorporating stabilization, and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director.

The Paramedic functions as part of a team and shares responsibility for the team's conduct. The Paramedic fulfills education skill requirements as established by the Medical Director, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent or higher is required.

Graduate from an approved Paramedic program is required.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.

Current certification by the State of North Carolina as a Paramedic (EMT-P Certification) is required.

Other Information

Postion: .9 FTE (3) 12 hour shifts / week

Shift: Evenings 3pm - 3am, rotating weekends
