Assist with litigation and lawsuit case planning Conduct contract reviews and edits to ensure compliance with organizational requirements Manage the contract database and file finalized versions Draft legal documents, formal discovery requests, notices, interrogatories, and other legal documents Locate and contact witnesses, arranging interviews and evaluating them Schedule pre-deposition meetings with counsel and depositions Prepare preservation of evidence memos and other litigation support needs Prepare and track business license applications, ensuring compliance with deadlines Assist with corporate governance documents, filings, and recordings Compile and organize trial notebooks, exhibits, and files Coordinate the scheduling of witnesses and assist attorneys with witness issues and exhibits Draft formal discovery responses and retrieve relevant documents Notarize legal documents when necessary Analyze records and files, providing recommendations to the attorney Perform legal research, including statutory and case law, and draft relevant documents Prepare summaries of depositions, court transcripts, and witness testimony Maintain General Counsel's calendar and reminder notifications Oversee and manage the Legal Services Administrative Assistant Perform other related duties as needed Experience you will need: Basic principles, concepts, and methodology of legal proceedings and legal research Knowledge of attorney-client relationships relevant to this position Principles of legal writing and effective communication Problem identification, analysis, and evaluation skills Familiarity with computerized information and database record-keeping systems Experience with computerized legal research systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to exercise effective judgment and adapt to changing needs Valid California driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation High school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred Completion of an approved paralegal program and maintenance of California paralegal's license Minimum three (3) years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with transactional experience Current possession of, or ability to obtain, an active notary public license within six (6) months of hire Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
