Job Description Job Description Paralegal 4153 | Lawyer Regulation Headquarters Minimum starting salary $52,931.81 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). Summary function: Maintains post discipline records, monitors compliance with probation, performs data entry and legal research, and provides litigation support to the Division Director and/or Staff Counsel. Required minimum education: Completion of an accredited paralegal/legal assistant course of study. Juris Doctorate will substitute for this education. Required minimum professional work experience: Four (4) years of paralegal/legal assistant experience or certified as a Florida Registered Paralegal or Certified Legal Assistant or Juris Doctorate. A legal writing sample is required with application. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors reports concerning compliance with court ordered conditions, activates, reviews, and closes files. Maintains post discipline and bankruptcy records in the monitoring database and updates records as required. Drafts pleadings, petitions, and correspondence for the Division Director and/or Staff Counsel. Case management data entry processing, review, and querying. Legal research, litigation support, and miscellaneous special functions as assigned by the Division Director and/or Staff Counsel; testifies at referee proceedings. Assists with the preparation of documents and scheduling appearances before the Board of Governors for reprimands. Other related duties as assigned. Knowledge of:
