Job Description Job Description Robert Half is offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Paralegal within the Pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you will be expected to provide a range of services including drafting legal documents, supporting compliance efforts, conducting research, and communicating with stakeholders.
Paralegal – Healthcare Legal Support Location: On-site in Somerset, NJ (likely transition to hybrid/remote) Compensation: $30-$40/hour (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours weekly (core business hours) Key Responsibilities:
Collections Support: Draft demand letters, payment plans, and termination notices for clients with invoice payment issues. Escalate cases as necessary through legal channels.
Contract Support: Draft and manage contracts, engage subject matter experts, and collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations. Compliance Assistance:
Ensure healthcare providers adhere to state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements. Legal Case Support: Prepare, gather, and review documents for discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation support in medical malpractice cases, insurance claims, and healthcare disputes.
Research: Conduct factual and legal research on healthcare laws, regulations, case law, and medical literature to assist attorneys and stakeholders. Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain professional communication with clients and other stakeholders regarding healthcare-related cases and operations.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, healthcare administration, or a related field. Additional coursework in healthcare law is a plus. Experience: Prior healthcare experience (e.g., pharmacy, nursing, or healthcare administration) is highly desirable.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Outstanding organizational, project management, and communication skills. The ability to manage high volumes of documentation with attention to detail. Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental programs. • Proven experience in the Pharmaceutical industry • Prior experience as a Paralegal • Proficiency in Aderant • Experience with Adobe Acrobat • Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) • Ability to use Case Management Software • Knowledge of CompuLaw • Experience with Billing Functions • Ability to perform Briefing tasks • Excellent skills in Calendar Management • Experience in Claim Administration • Strong Communication skills
