Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paralegal or Law Clerk with at least 1 years of litigation experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trial preparation, investigative or legal analysis, and general knowledge of court proceedings and the litigation process.
This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week and the ability to work onsite at least two days per week. A Paralegal Certificate or Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred, though not required. Key Responsibilities:
Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in all stages of trial preparation, including organizing trial binders, preparing exhibits, drafting trial timelines, and coordinating with expert witnesses. Investigative Support:
Conduct factual investigations and legal research to support case strategy and development. Case Management: Maintain litigation case files, track case deadlines, and ensure all necessary court documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner.
Document Review: Assist with the review, analysis, and summarization of legal documents, including contracts, depositions, and discovery materials. Legal Research and Analysis:
Research case law, statutes, and regulations to provide support on litigation matters. Client and Witness Coordination: Help schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions with clients and witnesses as needed.
Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents (electronic and physical) in federal and state courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures. Apply today and start next week Experience:
At least 1 years of hands-on litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Education: Paralegal certificate or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred, but equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Knowledge: Strong understanding of court proceedings, legal terminology, and the litigation process.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with legal case management software is a plus. Analytical Skills:
Ability to perform detailed legal analysis with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and team members. Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and independently manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Commitment: Ability to work 40 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite presence at least twice per week.
