MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree, and a paralegal certificate from a paralegal training program accredited by the American Bar Association, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
Selected Bidders will be hired in seniority order according to the collective bargaining agreement. Non-Bidders best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected AND
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
Previous experience in preparing and updating reports for use in court proceedings
Previous experience responding to subpoenas
Previous experience conducting legal research utilizing electronic resources (i.e., Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw).
Previous experience preparing summaries of legal documentation
Previous experience reviewing and interpreting contracts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Previous experience preparing standard court filings, such as: appearances, subpoenas, summonses, notices of filing, discovery responses, FOIAs, and preservation letters
Proficiency with analyzing, indexing, duplicating, and organizing documents and data produced in discovery
NOTE: You must provide your paralegal certificate and transcripts or diploma at the time of processing.
