Job description:

  • This role will be responsible for applying and interpreting complex legislative and regulatory guidelines used to assess employment eligibility. In this role will own cases from start to finish including performing individualized assessments to make a determination on employment eligibility in accordance with procedures and applicable laws and regulations, follow up with associates and/or candidates, document case notes using the case management system, demonstrate exceptional judgment, and collaborate with partner groups including Recruiting and Legal. This role may include other responsibilities as business needs dictate.


  • Perform full reviews of criminal background screening documents

  • Ensure a well- managed environment by maintaining work instructions, documenting processes, and identifying efficiencies

  • Ensure operations comply with applicable laws and regulations

  • Collection of documents from associates and/or candidates

  • Capture full and accurate case notes and supporting documentation in a timely manner; add confidential case data and supporting documentation to case management system

  • Conduct follow up calls and/or emails and interact with candidate and new hires

  • Manage confidential case data and other privileged information

  • Provide accurate, complete and timely responses to associates

  • Perform other related work as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, Equivalent Certification or military experience

  • Previous paralegal and/or law enforcement experience

  • 1 year of experience in Working with associates at all levels

  • 1 year of experience in Legal/Law firm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or Criminal Justice

  • Paralegal Certification or Degree

  • 2 years of experience in General Human Resources

  • 2 years of experience in Legal/law firm

  • Paralegal degree, Certificate

For more information, visit Responsibilities * Assisting attorneys with preparing legal documents, including, pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas, expert reports and discovery-related materials * Cite-checking (legal and factual), blue-booking, and Shepardizing briefs * Managing case files and matter documents through e-Rooms and iManage * Ensuring filings and e-filings comply with court and agency rules, including TTAB and PTAB rules * Assisting attorneys with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and subpoenas, and assisting with preparation for depositions and witness interviews * Assisting with preparation for hearings and trials, including preparation of exhibits * Assisting with document review, searches, and productions through various platforms, e.g., Relativity, Concordance, etc. * Calculating and managing federal court, TTAB, and PTAB deadlines Qualifications * Two to four years of litigation paralegal experience, with a preference for intellectual property litigation * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required * Four year degree preferred * Paralegal Certification from an ABA accredited program preferred Have more questions?
