Role Description This is a full-time role for a Paralegal at Financial Software Solutions, LLC in Houston, TX. The Paralegal will be responsible for remote support of our legal professional customers involved in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency practice.

Daily Duties The daily routine involves managing projects associated with support of customers. Projects may involve training new customers on how business processes are represented in the software. Projects may involve assisting a customer with annual report preparation or account reconciliation tasks.

Other parts of the daily routine involve answering customer requests coming to FSS via phone, chat or email. In all matters, legal and regulatory compliance support is of highest importance. Remote assistance to customers is frequently provided over Zoom or GoToMeeting.

Qualifications 5 years paralegal experience (bankruptcy or insolvency preferred). Deep understanding of bankruptcy and insolvency processes, including chapters 11, 13, 7 and receivership. Experience with PACER. Strong Communication abilities, especially professional phone and Zoom skills.

Strong software skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team setting Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Accounting or banking background a definite plus.
