Paralegal - Disclosure/ Compliance

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate is a plus.

• Up to 3 years of paralegal experience or equivalent experience in a deadline-driven, detail-oriented complex legal, corporate or business environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication, time management and organization skills

• Advanced decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills, with particular attention to detail and accuracy.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain quality of work while meeting established deadlines.

• Registered fund or mutual fund experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of securities and registered fund products and operations is a plus.

Position title to be determined based upon experience- Paralegal/ Sr. Paralegal

MAJOR DUTIES:

The purpose of this position is to provide Paralegal registered fund regulatory services to Federated Hermes legal staff and business units, outside counsel and clients to meet the requirements of the SEC, FINRA, and other registered fund regulators.

• Working with internal and external counsel, Federated business units, Legal Services and Legal Department management, prepare and review regulatory documents required for the creation and maintenance of registered funds, ensuring they are in proper form for filing with regulators and meet all regulatory deadlines.

• Research, analyze, interpret and address legal, regulatory and procedural issues and questions, as appropriate. Present results in professional writing or at client or department meetings or training sessions.

• Advocate and resolve issues with regulators and clients, as appropriate.

• Assist co-workers, internal and external counsel, Legal Services management and Legal Department management, as directed or required.

• Perform research and special projects, as directed or required.

HOURS/LOCATION:

• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
• Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Warrendale, PA
