The Virginia Beach City Attorney's Office is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Paralegal to become part of our real estate team. Paralegals are essential to helping the City accomplish important projects. We are looking for a person who wants to be a trusted right-hand asset to our attorneys. You will:

• Prepare agreements of sale

• Prepare closing documents and various pleadings

• Review and proofread plats and title reports

• Draft City Council ordinances and resolutions

• Prepare legal correspondence

• Provide first review of City contracts

• Create and maintain accurate electronic and paper files

Successful candidates will have excellent communications and organizational skills; be able to manage multiple tasks necessary to keep up with the real estate needs of Virginia's largest city; confidently meet deadlines, and have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro. Our team values a cooperative spirit, problem-solving skills and a desire to learn. We are seeking an organized self-starter who works well on a team and thrives in a dynamic and stimulating office.
