Camping World is now hiring a Litigation Paralegal to be based in our Lincolnshire, IL Corporate Headquarters. In this role you will support the Legal Department with a primary focus on litigation arising out of our dealership and retail operations. This position will report to the Assistant General Counsel.
This role will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Lincolnshire, IL.
Essential Job functions:
Assist in-house counsel in all aspects of litigation management from inception to conclusion, including matter intake, internal and external communication, pleading review, discovery management, settlement and other case-closing obligations
Maintain online matter management system, including document filing, inputting new and updating existing matters, creating and running functional reports for stakeholders
Conduct pre-claim investigations and initial case assessments, collect and review records, and create tools to assist with case analyses
Perform research pertaining to a range of legal and factual issues impacting dealerships and retail operations
Respond to requests by opposing counsel and outside counsel
Receive, analyze, and process requests for business records from in-house counsel, manufacturers, and other third parties
Perform other tasks as dictated by the needs of the legal department and business
Essential Job Skills:
Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required
Proven track record of managing a large caseload and multiple priorities
Desire and ability to work in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook required. Advanced Excel skills is a plus
Previous experience working with vehicle dealerships, retail clients, and/or handling consumer litigation is preferred
Firm command of all aspects of litigation process
Excellent communication, analytical, writing and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop effective working relationships with local and remote colleagues
Solid IT knowledge and a familiarity with document and litigation support applications
Experience and proficiency with e-Discovery
Proactive, solution-oriented approach to identifying and resolving issues
Excellent attention to detail
An interest in creating and maintaining processes related to legal operations
