Seeking a highly skilled and driven Paralegal to join the Entertainment & Media practice group in Los Angeles. This role is pivotal in supporting our entertainment & media clients and ensuring seamless contract negotiations through expertise, responsiveness, exceptional organizational skills, and a first-class commitment to client service.
In supporting our clients, you will work as part of a team providing specialized support for production companies and talent, on marquee projects for premier distributors, networks, and streaming platforms. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the lifecycle of production agreements, such as vendors, locations, crew members, department heads, music licenses, clearances and the like. Draft, revise, negotiate, and finalize various agreements, legal documents, and correspondence for film, television, digital media, and new media talent.
Communicate with entertainment labor unions such as SAG-AFTRA, DGA and WGA. Conduct legal research and provide support on various legal matters related to media productions and labor union compliance. Maintain and update contract templates and status reports.
Ensure all contracts comply with legal standards and firm policies. Demonstrate a positive, client-focused attitude in all client interactions. Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements 5 years of experience as a paralegal, contract administrator or the like in the entertainment industry. Working knowledge of entertainment law and media production processes. Law Firm experience Ideal.
Experience in U.S. Copyright Office filings (e.g. Form PA, Document Recordation). Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
