The Automobile Club is seeking career minded individual for our Paralegal position in Los Angeles, CA. This position receives and processes all subpoenas served upon the Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club for copies of Insurance claims records and determines whether a subpoena is properly served and complies with applicable law.

Responsibilities include:

  • Retrieval of physical and/or electronic records, determining what records are privileged or otherwise subject to privacy statutes and/or regulations.

  • Prepare records for copying, including the preparation of declarations as custodian of records, or appears with records at depositions or trials/hearings as appropriate.

  • Interface with attorneys and copy services.

  • Provide overflow assistance to attorneys in reviewing files, preparing and responding to discovery, drafting motions, legal research through the internet, Lexis and or Westlaw, obtaining documents and records, analyzing and compiling information into appropriate attorney use.

  • Drafting of letters, inter-office memos and other general correspondence, and other duties as required.


  • Paralegal Certificate required.

  • 4 years equivalent industry work experience desired.

  • Prior experience as a paralegal in litigation.

  • Good understanding of insurance regulations and the litigation process.

  • Good analytical skills required.

  • Advanced written communication skills required.

  • Valid Driver's license with level of financial responsibility required by California and the Auto Club and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

  • Successful completion of Auto Club pre-employment assessments, background and drug screenings.
