The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Rehabilitation Therapies is seeking a Para-Educator to work under the general supervision of classroom educators or educational consultants to provide coverage to hospital based classrooms within the inpatient Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health unit.
Supports a safe, positive teaching and learning environment.
Assists in the development of students' physical and intellectual development.
Supports the social, emotional, and behavioral development of children.
Establishes positive and productive relations with children, families and colleagues.
Integrates the technology needed to support student learning.
Practices ethical and professional standards of conduct on an ongoing basis.
