Who We Are

Our model is grounded in social emotional learning, personalized instruction, project based learning, and a culture of positivity. Essential Functions of the role

  • Assist in daily instruction and behavior interventions for specific students on caseload

  • Collect data on interventions to help teachers continuously improve instructional and behavioral plans for assigned student

  • Provide behavioral, social emotional, and academic intervention for students in alignment with student support plans (IEP, Behavior intervention Plan, Tier 2 Supports, etc.)

  • Supervise assigned students as necessary and ensure student safety

  • Support scholars with activities of daily living as needed (including things such as toileting, transitioning between classes, and safe play during recess, etc.)

Educational Background/Work Experience and Eligibility:

  • Have received a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment

  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college

  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university

  • Have completed an apprenticeship program, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council

  • Prior to the start date of employment all employees need to obtain clearance on a criminal justice fingerprint and background check.

  • Prior to being made an offer, the hiring manager will ask candidates to complete a character and fitness form from the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction."

  • An offer is contingent upon verification that the person is authorized to work in the United States for any employer
