Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and the MLL teacher is responsible for supporting the secondary educational process and responsible for applying MLL strategies and supplorting language development for MLL students. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job descriptions.

Salary Range: $25.29 - $28.74/hour (Paraeducator A) and $26.71 - $30.32/hour (Paraeducator B) per 2024-25 Public School Employees Salary Schedule

  • Para A - 4.00 hours

  • Para B - 2.00 hours

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Year: 6.00 hours/day (Para A supports Family Consumer Science and Shop classes and Para B supports Multi Lanaguage Learners) 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, 7:40 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., 9 months/year

Qualifications:

  • Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:

  • Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro (https://www.ets.org/parapro),or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program

  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university

  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university

  • Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.

  • Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
