The Paper Mill Engineering Co-op will be based out of Fort Edward, New York (1 Eddy Street, 12828). This is a temporary student position. We have an excellent student program at J.D. Irving with formal and informal opportunities to meet and network with people from all across the business, including other students. This is a great experience that will provide you with real, valuable work experience that will allow you to challenge yourself and learn from industry-leading professionals!

Job Requirements
Enrolled in Engineering Degree: Chemical, Mechanical, and/or Pulp & Paper
Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
The following engineering courses are applicable: Fluid Mechanics, Process Control, Heat and Mass Transfer, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Statistics
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
Plan and implement units of product quality
Perform continuous assessment of product quality
Assist team to resolve operating problems with process, maintenance, and plant engineering support
Lead small project in process monitoring, investigation, and optimization
Conduct statistical studies for operation review
Work closely with production department to improve process and quality
Follow safe practices at all times
What We Offer
$25.75 - $27.40 per hour, depending on grade level
