LOCATION: Woburn, MA

TITLE: Paper Coordinator

Effectively monitor and coordinate the flow of product, information, and/or shipments to ensure production and client needs are met. This includes monitoring of production schedules and receipts/shipments, preparing necessary documentation and labels, investigating shortages/discrepancies and communicating necessary information to internal and external customers. This is accomplished through use of professional and effective communication, organizational skills and use of Powered Industrial Equipment, desktop PCs and scanning equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately monitor and coordinate production schedules and inventory to ensure all product is available when needed for production.

  • Schedule incoming receipts and outgoing shipments

  • Accurately receive paper into the system and identify and resolve any discrepancies

  • Enter paper claims into the system

  • Ensure an accurate inventory is kept and perform inventory checks as required.

  • Maintain a clean and organized paper warehouse.

  • Communicate with internal departments, external customers and vendors.

  • Actively participate and follow all Safety and Lean regulations, policies and initiatives. Including performing daily maintenance inspections as required and report any issues of concern to the appropriate leader.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of similar experience preferred

  • Quad Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification (Forklift and Clamp Truck) as necessary for the area/plant needs

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without close supervision

  • Ability to effectively and professional communicate both verbally and written.

  • Proficient knowledge of departmental programs, applications and computer operating systems

  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers and all other internal/external contacts to promote teamwork

  • Proficient knowledge and ability to use desktop and mobile PCs

  • Ability to work Quad assigned work schedule including rotation shifts, day, night, weekends and overtime as needed

Materials will include cGMP raw materials, Drug Product, QC samples, general supplies and laboratory materials. Coordinator is responsible to follow all assigned cGMP Standard Operating Procedures and comply with various regulations including DOT, IATA, IMDG, OSHA, US Customs and FAA. Responsible for operating pallet jacks and driving powered industrial vehicles (fork trucks, electric pallet jacks, etc.) as well as the company's commercial box trucks (CDL not required). Training on these vehicles will be provided to the employee by the company. Work closely with key clients including Supply Chain Procurement (SCP), Quality Control Sampling, Manufacturing Process Development and Quality Assurance to help insure daily warehouse operations. Home site will be at the Woburn facility, however travel to the Rhode Island facility for training or emergencies may occur (5%). Working hours could be flexible, which may include occasional staying beyond normal shift hours and/or weekends. Basic Qualifications: * Associate's degree and 4 years of Warehouse or Operations experience * OR * High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Warehouse or Operations experience Preferred Qualifications: * 6+ years' experience in supply chain or logistics * 4+ years' experience biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry * Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and GDP requirements * Previous experience and comfort operating fork trucks, reach trucks, and other powered warehouse vehicles * DOT/IATA certification and previous Cold Chain Experience * Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP * Microsoft Office suite experience * Strong customer service, math and writing skills as well as attention to detail Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
