Cargill Feed & Nutrition provides customized animal nutrition solutions to customers across the Americas, Europe and Asia. We operate some of the most technologically advanced plants in the world, but they can't run by themselves - we depend on creative, responsible, hardworking individuals like you.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Extrude quality product in an efficient manner (checking product every 30 minutes, making necessary adjustments to run product to target)

  • Conduct quality in-process checks and document correctly

  • Inspect the product to guarantee all required quality standards are met. This would include correct shape, color, size and density

  • Adjust weigh belts as needed

  • Ensure proper topical ingredients are being used and applied at the specified rates

  • Set-up die plates and knife heads

  • Conduct efficient changeovers as specified to the production schedule

  • Minimize start-up and change-over times working as efficiently as possible

  • Communicate with batching control room operators

  • Dumping ration and fines carts

  • Keeping area and equipment clean

  • Sanitize equipment according to plan

  • Maintain equipment

  • Transfer responsibilities from shift to shift

Required:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling and pounding with hammer

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold, high dust and noise

  • Ability to work in elevated areas

  • Must be able to operate machinery

  • Must be able to read/write English

  • High School diploma or Equivalent

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

Preferred:

  • Able to perform physical job duties including work in confined spaces

  • Forklift certified

  • Basic computer skills

  • Prior experience in production related work and food process.

The O.R. technologist assists in planning, preparing and setting up for cases, obtains and manages supplies and equipment; establishes and prepares the sterile field using aseptic technique and assures sterility is maintained during surgical procedure. The O.R. technologist passes instruments, blades, sponges, suture, and other needed objects during surgical procedures and is accountable for maintaining an accurate count of all items used during the procedure in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. They may assist the surgeon by holding retractors, suture, or stapling skin under the direct supervision of the surgeon or designee. The O.R. technologist may participate in the transfer and transport of the patient and perform other duties as assigned. Completion of an Operating Room Technician Program in a technical or junior college or completion of an acceptable hospital program unless trained through previous experience.
