Job Description: & Qualifications
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Research & Advanced Engineering (R&A) Business Office team in Palo Alto as an Alliance and Partnership Leader. The role will require superior people & organizational skills, executive level interfacing capabilities and a "get it done" attitude to facilitate the R&A technical team's engagement with local universities and Silicon Valley partners. As a member of the R&A Business Office team you will work across multiple departments and skill teams to bring all the pieces together to enable effective and efficient relationships with Ford's external partners.
Lead and drive Ford's Silicon Valley area university campus strategy end-to-end, including relationship building, university project and budget management and interface with our recruiting teams on campus
Guide relationships with target schools and external partners
Lead Ford's local STEAM initiatives, including Ford's Palo Alto High School Science and Technology Program and local FIRST Robotics support
Create an annual calendar of Ford Silicon Valley campus and STEAM related events and oversee all logistical coordination and implementation through planning, resource requirements, needs assessment, and budget review. Track status of projects, budget and plans throughout the calendar year
Silicon Valley relationship ownership of target schools (career centers, professors, faculty, student organizations), STEAM initiatives, and other external partners to continue to build Ford brand awareness in the Bay Area
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Ford's Silicon Valley teams, HR partners and business functions to strengthen university relations, recruitment and Ford's talent pipeline initiatives in the Bay Area
Master's Degree in Engineering, Business or Communications preferred
3+ years in an engineering role preferred
Experience with university and partnership engagements
Relationship management experience
Budget management and financial reporting
Cross-functional leadership skills
Demonstrated capability of oral and written skills
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Accuracy and attention detail
