The Provisioning, Concierge & Catering Liaison (PCC) is responsible for educating customers about Whole Foods Market Provisioning and Catering Program and increasing sales in these two areas. The role as a PCC will include coordinating, executing and ensuring a high level of food quality and presentation for all catering orders at the location. The PCC will assist with and support the regional Prepared Foods and Culinary vision. The PCC will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
This position will be based out of our Palm Beach Gardens store. This position will support the two stores in the Palm Beach county (Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington.)
This position reports to the Store Team Leader with a dotted line to the Regional Culinary Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet customers and convey excitement and a positive attitude toward Whole Foods Market and its products.
Educate customers on products, and use suggestive selling.
Assist customers in finding products.
Will Lead the Provisioning, Catering, and Gift basket program.
Order all Catering and Provisioning related inventory
Must have the ability to communicate all offerings of Provisioning and Catering Program
Properly and accurately use reporting and ordering tools for Catering and Provisioning programs
Must know location of all products in store and keep up-to-date on department resets.
Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Connect with local area hotels, yacht marinas, and executive airports to provide information on the capabilities of Whole Foods Market Provisioning and Catering Services services.
Establish and maintain business relationships that result in the regular use of the full range of services offered (catering, provisioning).
Educate Team Members on all catering and yacht provisioning program and orders so that all Team Members can promote the program and direct customers accordingly.
Keep informed about food trends and hot items and communicate necessary information to customers.
Identify appropriate events for Whole Foods Market participation.
Attend meetings, conference calls and events while representing Whole Foods Market in a professional manner.
Network in the field to build potential business relationships and contacts.
Generate new business and/or customers.
Identify opportunities for upselling.
Responsible for answering customer questions and assisting them with solving problems in person and by phone or email accurately.
Provide personal shopping for customers, including large orders called in for individuals with yachts.
Pack perishable and non-perishable products according to Whole Foods Market standards and guidelines.
Prepare all orders on time, assure order is complete and packed properly for delivery or pick up.
Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
Report all life safety and fire hazards for correction, along with any other violations of company policy, and report all accidents and injuries to Team Leader immediately
Properly and accurately record time using time clock at the beginning and end of each shift and for unpaid meal breaks during shift. Additionally, if working outside of the store use accurate and proper recording procedures
Use a cash register as required
Responsible for proper dress code.
Answer department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Team Leader, Associate Store Team, and Store Support Team Leader
At least 3-5 years retail/service industry experience with a strong focus on customer service and a detailed understanding of retail operations.
Catering experience and/or sales experience preferred.
Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Ability to convert a variety of different measurement units.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to understand and complete departmental transfers.
Ability to knowledgeably and enthusiastically communicate the product line to the customer.
Should have knowledge of or ability to learn word processing, spreadsheet, and order processing software.
Ability to prioritize and stay organized.
Ability to maintain professional and appropriate conduct.
Must be 18 years or older and work a maximum of 8-10 hours per day.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted.
Push and pull carts, weighing up to 100 pounds, unassisted.
Ability to perform job by repetitive use of right and left hands for simple grasping, power grasping, pushing and pulling and fine manipulation. While exact time may vary for each task, constant use may be anywhere from one to six hours during a work shift.
Must be able to consistently bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat during the course of a work shift.
Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 10 pounds regularly and 11-25 pounds intermittently during the course of the work shift. Distance to carry loads may range from 5- 50 feet. It may be necessary to lift and carry loads on occasion up to 50 pounds for short distances.
Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness and to check signage and labeling for accurate pricing.
Demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, knives, slicers, ovens, box cutters, and all related equipment.
Environmental exposure: temperature extremes (coolers, freezer, ovens, outdoors).
May be exposed to dairy, flour, gluten, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat via
inhalant or food handling.
May be exposed to cleaning or other commercial chemicals, cooking oils, grease, dust and other food and cooking related substances.
Work in a moderately noisy environment.
