As a Painter/Maintence Tech you will conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections of system and associated equipment. Perform preventative and general maintenance and public areas as assigned. Hours for this position are Monday

  • Friday 4:00pm to 12:30am
  • Scrape, remove wallpaper, strip, sandpaper, prime, and/or seal surfaces prior to finishing- Cover or otherwise protect furniture, carpeting, and other surfaces from paint spattering. Remove any spattered paint or over-spray- Mix, match, and carefully apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes using rollers, brushes, as indicated. Evaluate need for additional application(s)- Clean and care for brushes, spray guns, and other equipment- Hang and repair wallpaper, hang and repair drywall, apply and repair plaster, tape and apply joint compound as required- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas and comply with all generally recognized safety procedures- May be assigned other responsibilities, such as moving furniture, driving agency vehicle, installing vinyl baseboard, caulking, and minor carpentry- Other related responsibilities as assigned


  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Hotel/Commerical experience a plus

  • Minimum 3 years performing the duies

The incumbent of this position uses brushes, rollers and/or spray paints various structures and equipment, and finishes wooden furniture, wall panels, cabinets, decorative trim, doors, and floors to provide a decorative as well as protective finish. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities As a Painter, you will: * Paint, decorate, and refinish interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture and fixtures, presses, machinery or other structures and equipment as may require a protective and/or decorative coating. * Evaluate condition of the surface to be covered and selects a surface preparation technique consistent with the type and condition of surface, the coating material to be applied, and the exposure and expected condition of use. Remove old surface coating and clean away dirt, rust, grease or other surface impurities which would deter adhesion qualities of the coating material. Use various means for removing surface coating such as sandpaper, steel wool, solvents, blowtorch, strippers, and etc. Also operate various powered sanding equipment and power wash equipment and ensures that the surface does not become marred or damaged. * Select, prepare, and apply paint or other mixture to surfaces using brush, roller, or various types of spray equipment. Use the best possible method that is consistent with the type and condition of the surfaces and the applicator used. * Custom sign fabrication by using computerized pantograph equipment. This requires the use of a personal computer using Windows 98 software and an engraving plotter. Travel Required Occasional travel - 01 to 05 times per year.
