Wausau Equipment Company in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Powder Coat Painter on 2nd Shift! This exciting career opportunity works under general supervision, and is responsible for spraying fabricated metal products; selecting and mixing various components together to produce a high quality finished product.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Selects and mixes powder to produce desired finished product, according to specifications.

  • Directs paint onto work surface to apply paint; adjust sprayer as necessary to regulate width and pressure of spray.

  • Work safely in all aspects of daily duties and assignments and practice good housekeeping to ensure safety.

  • Maintains required paint, safety and breathing equipment and makes adjustments when necessary.

  • Moves parts manually, by hoist or forklift and secures parts for painting.

  • Inspect parts for missing welds, weld splatter, weld quality prior to sending units into paint system.

  • Maintains production quantities, efficiencies and quality.

  • Ensure correct products and quantities enter and exit the conveyor system.

  • Ensure quality control in all parts before and after the painting process.

  • Transport heavy materials through the use of cranes, jacks and other equipment.

  • Operate the Blast Booth machine as needed.

  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned by supervisor.

Experience & Other

  • A minimum of two years experience in industrial painting desired; preferably powder coat painting.

  • Ability to understand the various painting components and how liquids affect each other.

  • Able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment.

  • Basic math and reading skills needed.

  • Minimum dexterity required for use of hand and power tools.

  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.

  • Required standing and/or walking for full shift required. Frequent bending, stooping and lifting required.

  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must be able to stand approximately 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and reach around on a constant basis.

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant environment.

  • Must be able to see, hear, speak and use hand and fingers to use tools and equipment.

Job Description Quad is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Digital Press Operator to work in our Quad Instore facility at Glendale Drive in New Berlin. Operator is responsible for producing quality printed sheets, boards, or rolls. The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to: * Operate and troubleshoot multiple digital presses; Flatbed and Roll Presses – HP Turbojet, EFI/Vutek presses, and Inca Onset devices. * Accurately interpret, document, and communicate diagnostic feedback from equipment and act upon information to resolve production, maintenance and repair issues. * Perform color matching of supplied material. * Read and understand job tickets. Complete necessary job paperwork. * Command of technical vocabulary and the ability to communicate effectively with electronic prepress, press operators, customer service, vendors, equipment technicians and customers is essential. * Clean and maintain work area. Qualifications: * HS diploma or equivalent. * Candidates must be able to differentiate between colors and will be required to complete a color test. * All equipment operations are controlled via computer interface. Position requires the ability to navigate through multiple computer screens quickly and efficiently. * Computer software application experience in a prepress environment and experience in digital color control, color manipulation, and experience operating HP, Vutek, or Inca Onset presses a plus. However, candidates with offset experience and strong computer skills may be considered. * Successful candidate must possess solid organizational and problem solving skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with little or no supervision. * Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality and safety oriented. * Ability to apply written instructions to job set-up. * Able to lift up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, walking, standing, stooping, pulling and pushing with or without reasonable accommodations. * Must be available for overtime during the week, and on weekends when needed. Position is for 2nd shift with overtime and weekend hours as required.
