Duties and Responsibilities:

Auburn University at Montgomery is accepting applications for a Full-Time Painter. This position will perform painting tasks as assigned to enhance campus facilities. Under close supervision, provides journeyman level skills to paint surfaces and assist with paint projects on campus.

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the following:

• Applies paints and other finishes to interiors, exteriors, equipment, and furniture using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

• Paints walls, equipment, and university structures, and stains furniture and doors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of how to match paint color and sheen for application on surfaces to ensure coverage and a professional finish.

• Knowledge of safety related to using chemicals and products to perform painting tasks.

• The ability to use proper techniques and tools to paint surfaces and commercial facilities.

• Ability to perform painting indoors and outdoors from scaffolding, ladders, or a lift.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Two (2) years' experience painting commercial buildings.
