Monarch Investment is seeking an experienced painter to join our team in Albuquerque. We believe that each team member contributes directly to the success of our company. The Painters primary responsibility is to paint interiors and exteriors of the apartment community and vacant apartments. They also assist the Maintenance Manager in making minor repairs in areas such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance. This position is also indirectly involved in make readies/ turns.


Essential Job Duties and

Responsibilities:
  • Painting both interior and exterior applications

  • Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenant occupancy

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years' experience in painting, maintenance or equivalent prefered

  • Dry walling including painting and carpentry

VIEW JOBS 1/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-09T00:00 What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking a Painter Trades On any given day, you may be called on to: * Repair, patch, prepare and pait a variety of surfaces, including metal, wood, masonry, plaster, stucco, drywall, asphalt and insulated surfaces. * Analyze simple drawings, specifications, written/verbal instructions, and general requirements to layout work. * As a condition of employment, Metal Trades positions are represented by the Metal Trades Council (MTC) and represented employees must pay the monthly membership dues or agency fee. Qualifications We Require * Repair, patch, prepare and paint a variety of surfaces including metal, wood, masonry, plaster, stucco, dry wall, asphalt, and insulated surfaces. * Work involves applying a variety of finishing materials using an industrial spray booth, general use painter''s tools, scaffolding, and equipment. * Responsibilities include preparation of surfaces including caulking, sanding, taping and bedding; matching existing colors or recommending appropriate substitutes; applying special finishes; fabricating and installing signs using block letters, decals, and free-hand lettering; and maintain associated painting tools and equipment. * Maintain appropriate records including documentation of waste stream. Perform work using industry standard safety practices. Required skills, Physical Assessments, & Certifications: * Once the applicant has submitted their application and resume, there will be several levels of screening as applicable: * Resume review for direct experience and related work history; * Skills assessments. * Interview evaluations. * Pre-employment background reviews (for external applicants); * Drug testing; and * Physical job placement assessments. Each screening level must be passed successfully and consecutively in order to be eligible for consideration. * A job placement assessment (JPA) will be required as part of the screening for this position. * This JPA will evaluate your ability to meet the physical requirements of this job. Qualifications We Desire * Working in a commercial or industrial setting as a fully qualified Journeyman Painter. * Typical experience includes minimum of 3-5 years as a fully qualified painter. * Active Department of Energy "L" or "Q" clearance.
