Paint Technician - 1St Shift

1st Shift: 7:30AM - 4PM / M-F Level I: 0-3 years. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides support for technical issues. Identifies, researches and resolves routine technical problems of low complexity. Technicians are responsible for producing liquid samples by following a formulation recipe in the blending of paint samples.

Typical sample sizes are 1/2 pint to 1 quart. Occasionally, 5 gallon pails must be produced as needed for internal and external equipment trials. Application and preparation of coated wood, vinyl, or fiberglass samples by following application process sequence as directed.

Physical property testing of coated samples including adhesion, abrasion resistance, stain/chemical resistance, scratch resistance, gloss retention, etc. Color matching on wood substrates using stains and/or with opaque systems. Requirements: High School Diploma Two years of college level math and science or equivalent experience desirable, but not required.
