Summary: Oversee and coordinate the activities painters that perform painting and surface preparation duties per UE Manufacturing specifications and the specifications of the product manufacturer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.

  • Provide technical support and training to the other painters.

  • Evaluate the workmanship of the delivered product to guarantee the product meets the customer requirements.

  • Use paints, solvents, and other chemicals used to prepare surfaces while painting and/or cleaning.

  • Work inside the paint booth, shop, wash bay or outdoors

  • Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment.

  • Correct prepare and tape off surfaces before painting.

  • Safely hang parts for painting

  • Carefully remove painted parts from racks and prepare for shipping.

  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience in progression United or industry related assignment is preferred.

  • A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience leading and coordinating production projects is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork.

  • Demonstrate the ability to read paint codes and mix paint; may be required to use various types of measuring devices.

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.

  • Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE.

  • Ability to respond to technical questions from production staff.

  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools and skills to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete a job.

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.

  • Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).

  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.

  • Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.

  • Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.

  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.

  • Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.

  • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.

  • Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store, servicing wholesale customers. It will determine customers' needs, resolve product knowledge questions, present appropriate products and services, and refer potential wholesale leads to the sales reps and store staff. The position will process orders, schedule/coordinate installations with installers and customers, check installers' orders for accuracy before material leaves store, ensure sales transactions are completed accurately, maintain floorcovering inventory levels, and establish and maintain accurate customer work order files. The role will also communicate customer complaints to the branch manager for a quick and accurate resolution to ensure customers' quality and service expectations are exceeded. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status. * Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED).
