TITLE: Middle School Head Volleyball Coach QUALIFICATIONS:

Good communication and organizational skills Current First Aide & CPR certification Experience playing and coaching volleyball. Knowledgeable and familiar with the game of volleyball (rules, fundamentals, etc). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires periods of light physical activity and requires long periods of time standing and/or walking.

Most of the work is performed in the gym. Typically the position requires the employee to demonstrate volleyball skills to the athletes. The work also requires the ability to speak loudly.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Middle School Principal or person designated by the Board or the superintendent. JOB GOAL:

To assist students learn the fundamentals of volleyball and good sportsmanship. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: To organize and run practices To teach fundamentals of volleyball Coach teams in competitions Inventory and order equipment TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary: $3,488.40 per season based upon approved Middle School Coaches Salary Schedule Work Schedule: Approximately August 15th through October 8th Benefits: None Hours:

Monday Friday 3:35 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. plus games FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Classified EVALUATION: As per board policy regarding classified evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with satisfactory preparation in business courses. Proficient computer skills using Excel, Word, Power Point and other routine software and database management as well as detailed knowledge in internet capabilities. Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills. Must obtain CDL with School Bus endorsements within 90 days of employment. Must be a self-starter and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while being customer service oriented. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires some physical activity with requiring worker to walk, stand, or sit for long periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; climb stairs; bend; reach; hold grasp and turn objects; and use fingers to the computer and other office equipment. REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent SUPERVISES: Grounds Mechanic Mechanic Technician JOB GOAL: To enable each student, through safe and efficient transportation, to take full advantage of the complete range of curricular and extracurricular activities offered by the district's schools, so that full educational use of it may be made at all times. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: OFFICE AND GARAGE ADMINISTRATION Prepares and administers the transportation budget Authorizes purchases in accordance with budgetary limitations and district rules Approves and forwards maintenance and transportation service invoices to the business office Maintains safety standards in compliance with state and insurance regulations and develops a program of preventative safety including maintaining vehicle files Assigns vehicles to school personal as requested by district procedures (small fleet) Completes CDE reports in regards to fleet maintenance Formulates and approves the specifications to be incorporated in contractual agreements. Approves alterations to contractual agreements when requested by contractors and school principals in accordance to district policies and procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge of large buses, small buses, and cars Oversees the maintenance on all district-owned transportation equipment and develops plans for preventive maintenance. Develops recommendations for future equipment, vehicular and personnel needs. Supervises distribution of transportation credit card PERSONNEL Recruits, screens and recommends for hire all employees in the transportation maintenance department along with other co-Director Prepares timesheets on a weekly basis along with other co-Director Supervises mechanics and mechanical repairs to vehicles Dispatches to/from buses as needed Supervises warehouse staff and distribution of incoming items Attends appropriate committee and staff meetings STUDENT / PARENT COMMUNICATION Acts as liaison with parents for complaints and special requests Communicates to families through District student management system Responsible for parent and student communication when a discipline problems occurs on school bus GENERAL Follows district policies and procedures CDL with school bus endorsement. Willingness to substitute drive when needed. All other duties as assigned TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary: As set by the Board of Education through the annual salary schedule for Transportation Director. Up to seven years' experience allowed. Work Schedule: Eleven-month year, 219 days. 27 days before teachers return and 17 days after school ends based upon the approved District calendar.
