Partners with the Sales Manager to train and develop the Sales Support Team on product knowledge, selling, customer service, supply chain logistics and policies and procedures. Assists with overall support of the Sales Team with customer inquiries, cold calling and order entry processes.
Provides training and support for Sales Support associates.
Assists the Sales Manager with development and tracking of team goals and KPI's.
Continually monitors Sales Support functions and compliance to policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and continuing to provide superior customer service.
Maintain a high level of effective communication to the Sales and Supply Chain Logistics teams to ensure the highest level of customer fulfillment/satisfaction, unshipped orders and inventory and/or quality issues.
Oversee customer order confirmations and customer passing.
Oversees the troubleshooting and resolution of customer requests as needed
Assist with customer documentation including, but not limited to, new customer paperwork and requested vendor documentation.
Assists Sales Manager with Sales Support team performance appraisals and team recruitment.
Act as liaison for all customer compliance requests between the customer and compliance department.
Track and follow up on hold orders to ensure that the product either ships in a timely manner or gets put back into inventory.
Arrange and oversee all outbound transportation logistics and assist in cold calling outbound transportation carriers.
Oversee transportation rates including maintaining quarterly rate sheet that includes quotes from a minimum of 2 3 carriers per lane
Negotiate transportation freight rates to ensure competitive pricing.
Perform various clerical and data entry tasks, such as entering customer sales orders, revising existing sales orders and assigning lots.
Follow up on all customer product rejections to ensure proper disposition.
Follow up directly with customers on settlements of price and/or protected orders and enter credit transactions.
Assist in cold calling on new potential customers and outside customer accounts for order placements
Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.
Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Pacific Organic's Recall Plan.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Performs other job duties as required
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel required.
Thorough understanding of Sales Support role and ability to train and mentor team members.
Thorough understanding of Company products, policies and procedures.
