This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of the position.
This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations.
Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-7000 Packing And Processing Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
The screen out element for this position is the ability to lead or supervise the work of the position.

Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge and application of the regulations, instructions, procedures and work methods governing the preparation, inspection, storage, and loading hazardous materials, explosives, ammunition, and other items requiring special handling for air, water and surface movement.
Knowledge of rules and procedures governing the characteristics, reviews, storage, repair, disposal, or preparation for air movement.
Skill in the use of manual or computerized equipment to access regulatory guidance for instructions regarding packing, shipping, and labeling of national and international shipments and shipping databases for researching cargo status.
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
