SRG Global is looking for a Packaging Project Engineer to join our team in Troy, MI!
The Packaging Project Engineer will work as part of the Corporate Packaging Capability, focusing on developing a center of excellence for returnable and expendable packaging designs by working on standardization throughout the various manufacturing sites to develop a competitive advantage for SRG Global.

What You Will Do
Develop and execute the packaging consolidation strategy
Collaborate with the supply chain capability and manufacturing sites to lead the development of a re-usable WIP container strategy
Manage and consistently improve the global packaging design guideline library
Develop designs that eliminate embedded insurance, and lead initiatives to optimize the material flow throughout SRG Global manufacturing sites
Support the development process of packaging
Interface with other Koch companies to communicate lessons learned and leverage additional networks
Travel domestically and internationally as required up to 25%
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Package engineering experience at an OEM, automotive supplier, or automotive engineering consultancy
Experience analyzing data to identify trends and implement improvements
Project/program management experience in the automotive industry
Proven use of Problem-Solving Tools (6 Sigma, DFSS, Cause Map, 5 Why, 8D, etc.)
What Will Put You Ahead
Product development and/or manufacturing operations experience
Understanding of exterior trim products
Bachelor's Degree in Packaging or Engineering discipline
