Responsible for the execution of daily tasks associated with packaging pharmaceutical products, including but not limited to the set-up of equipment, the performance of packaging steps according to set work instructions, and the disassembly and cleaning of equipment. The employee shall also demonstrate the ability to understand and execute packaging directions presented in Standard Operating Procedures and Packaging Batch Records along with PI Sheets in compliance with a GMP environment, including the performance of in-process quality checks of finished product and the proper documentation of in-process checks in the batch records and /or in PI sheets. They must also show strong knowledge of specific packaging equipment and be able to lead teams of up to 22 people to reach set production goals.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
Performs packaging operations according to Batch Production Record specifications.
Accurately and clearly completes all required documentation and calculations related to batch documentation.
Performs in-process quality checks of finished product and properly documents in-process checks in the batch records and PI sheets.
Assembles, disassembles and cleans equipment and process rooms according to SOP's, utilizing line specific clearance card guides during cleans.
Lead teams to reach set production goals, as necessary.
Adherence to OSHA regulations and Forest Policies.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Accomplishes basic operation of computer-controlled equipment.
Regularly completes tasks as assigned to meet production schedules.
Embraces quality practices.
Process a Packaging PI Sheet within the SAP system.
Assists and fills-in as back-up Group Leader.
Maintains up to date communication with supervision.
Maintains appropriate relations with coworkers.
Makes productive use of idle time, assists others, requests additional work, initiates and or directs actions with little or no supervision.
Successfully trains other Operators on equipment and processes.
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
2 years of pharmaceutical packaging work experience.
Direct knowledge of specific packaging equipment.
Must have basic literacy in English.
Must have basic mechanical aptitude.
Must demonstrate the ability to perform basic math functions.
Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of GMP's.
Must demonstrate an ability to lead others.
Makes productive use of idle time, assists others, requests additional work, initiates and/or directs actions with little or no supervision.
Understands the logical sequence of events and processes and its impact on products.
Basic computer systems and SAP knowledge.
