Packaging Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for start-up, attending, operating and adjusting various packaging machines such as fillers, cappers, case erectors, tape machines, labelling equipment etc.

• Secures packaged items on pallets and when needed operates pallet moving equipment to move items to and from the packaging lines to the stretch wrapper.

• Maintains quality standards for weights, seals/caps, appearance, etc. by machine adjustments and frequent quality checks.

• Practices safety rules and standards.

• Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed.

The ideal candidate has:

• Forklift experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a packaging or assembly role.

• Experience using hand tools and ability to lift up to 70lbs.

• Reliable transportation to work.

• Available to work overtime when needed.

• Basic computer and math skills.
