POSITION PURPOSE

The Packaging Maintenance Manager supports CCBC in helping people navigate the beautiful & complex world of beer by executing at a high level of quality and contributing to a culture of safety as part of the Maintenance Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Mechanical-focused Responsibilities

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must operate, change over, and maintain packaging equipment.

  • Troubleshoots by utilizing technical-focused deductive reasoning skills, with the purpose of discussing & identifying results for, and performing minor repairs and/or improvements on production equipment.

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must run a full CIP/SIP on related equipment.

  • Participates and collaborates with team leaders and peers in problem solving activities to determine root cause and close the loop on issues.

  • Capable of performing packaging operator and maintenance functions taking a hands-on approach whenever necessary

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems associated with high-speed packaging equipment

  • Culture of Self-Development & Leadership: The Packaging Maintenance Manager participates in and completes leadership development training assigned to the Packaging Team. They must build and maintain proficiencies in using the CCBC's leadership program tools, concepts, & vocabulary.

3.Packaging Operations

  • Develops and updates packaging procedures, check sheets and communications to aid in the execution of daily activities.

  • Operates and monitors the production line to personal safety, beer quality, and asset efficiency.

  • Performs operations on all manufacturing equipment with a focus on efficiency and safety.

4.Skills & Competency Development:

  • Learn, understand, and maintain quality packaging initiatives.

  • Learn and maintain competency in safety policies, procedures, & regulations.

  • Explore, connect, & learn about the Craft Beer Industry.

  • Attend and learn about quality in craft beer through sensory class.

  • Obtain forklift certification with support from CCBC.

  • Develop technical aptitude on CCBC equipment.

5.Perform with Excellence:

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must perform at a level of excellence with a focus on quality & efficiency.

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must maintain finished goods & store finished goods neatly & safely in the cooler.

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must establish and maintain a basic understanding of timely communication tools such as e-mail.

6.Time & Task Management:

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must remain flexible during production changes, whether the changes are foreseen or made with short notice.

  • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must report to their shift on time and follow company clock-punch policies & procedures.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma required.

  • Proven experience as maintenance technician

  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems

  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
