Packaging Forklift Driver (Crew A)

Summary

This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Read daily order sheet to be able to select and move the correct tote of product

• Move finished pallets of product from the roasting room to the warehouse or loading dock

• Moves empty totes to be cleaned

• Handles inventory receiving transactions

• Adheres to all company policies and safety rules

• Assist other packaging employees within their job duties including using chemicals and water to clean and sanitize packaging equipment, palletizing and break down empty totes

• Perform other duties as assigned

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 12 months experience operating stand up forklifts in a processing or cold storage environment

• Ability to use a computer and hand held inventory device

• Manifesting experience in a warehouse environment is preferred

Other Information

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment

• Ability to work day and night shifts, weekends and overtime

• Ability to work in 25 degree temperature.
