The Packager position is responsible for the packaging of goods and materials relative to customer specifications with accuracy and quality. This position requires the de-consolidation of inbound loads and the preparation of packages for shipment.
Ensures proper material handling and packaging standards are met.
Performs accurate physical count of material quantity to resolve discrepancies.
Uses work orders to ensure proper parts/quantity are available for shipment.
Completes transactions in a bar code/scanner computer system.
Properly packages and secures material to ensure material is not damaged during transportation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/ skill.
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Demonstrates an ability to comprehend both written and verbal instructions
Demonstrates an ability to read and adhere to customer specifications.
Demonstrates an ability to identify if finished goods and packaging are damaged.
Demonstrates an ability to use job specific tools (bander, crowbar, )
Demonstrates an ability to accurately count material for loading
Demonstrates an ability to identify material part numbers
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Technical or Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Minimum of one year of experience packaging material.
Minimum of one year of experience in third-party logistics (3PL) environment.

Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
