Summary

We are seeking a "best in class" Packager. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position.

• Operate assigned equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner to ensure the quality of the product being made.

• Perform minor maintenance duties on assigned equipment to ensure equipment upkeep.

• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment or process to ensure that a quality product is being produced in the most efficient way possible.

• "Set up" equipment and production lines based off product recipe sheets for the different products that are produced.

• Maintain product quality through continues inspections, adjustments, measurements, and quality control checks.

• Communicate issues related to equipment performance, product quality, and department safety to supervisor.

• Perform regular housekeeping duties on assigned equipment, assigned work area, and within assigned department.

Skills and Experience Required for Success

• Self-motivated and self-disciplined

• Able to multi-task (operate various sections of equipment at once)

• Able to stand, squat, bend and lift for up to 10 hours a day.

• Able to use basic hand tools and take various measurements of products.

• Able to perform basic mechanical duties.

• Ability to clearly communicate issues with equipment and/or process.

• Attention to details and the ability to problem solve.

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6months-1 year of related experience.
