The PACCAR Product Quality Audit (PPQA) program is a detailed quality audit check performed on selected vehicles at all PACCAR manufacturing sites. The program's objective is to ensure that PACCAR sites continue to meet and exceed customer quality expectations for delivered product quality. The PPQA is a function of the product quality audit team and reports directly to PACCAR Quality. The PPQA Analyst travels globally to train internal and external, to analyze data, to perform product and process audits and to support best practice implementation at all PACCAR sites. Additionally the Analyst organizes global Kaizen events. The individual selected must be able to travel worldwide.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Analyze plant quality data, warranty claims and field data to improve quality and enhance Corporate Standards. Research customer and dealer concerns for enhancing the product quality audit process.
Provide internal and external training on Corporate Standards and PPQA requirements.
Facilitate Kaizen and Best Practice Implementation.
Organize annual global PPQA conferences.
Assist with development and implementation of new Quality Programs.
Create monthly reports e.g. Quality Dashboard.
Research customer and dealer concerns for enhancing the product quality audit process.
Perform product and process quality audits at all PACCAR Plants including formal documentation and report out to senior management.
Resolve conflicts on PQI/PPQA standards interpretations and scoring.
Evaluate and respond to proposed changes on Corporate Standards and their impact to PQI/PPQA.
Assist with development of product quality manuals and customer/dealer integration enhancements.
Respond to deviation requests including documentation for approvals and rejections.
Update and maintain Corporate EWI.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to deal effectively with conflict and accept constructive criticism.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform data analysis in Excel, Minitab or Tableau.
Solid knowledge of Excel (Macro's, calculations , cross references, etc.) and PowerPoint.
Must have a minimum three years' experience working with PACCAR products.
Trained Lean Six Sigma.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including internationally.
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Experience with PQI Process.
Must be able to read blue prints and specifications.
Lean Six Sigma Certification.
Class 8 operators' license (Must have the ability to obtain one in a reasonable amount of time).
English speaking and second language preferred (French, Spanish, Portuguese or Dutch).
