This Sourcing Specialist role has responsibility for continually driving one hundred percent compliance to the Citizens Bank purchasing policies which include the vendor management program and expense management policy and specifically the purchasing of goods and services.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating and driving the adoption and compliance of the Purchase to Pay (P2P) process and infrastructure throughout Citizens Bank by working with Sourcing and business line colleagues to analyze spend and review purchasing compliance, identify improvement opportunities and appropriate buying channels.

  • Meeting with business line partners to understand their buying needs, purchasing requirements and future projects to ensure the P2P process is followed

  • Providing constant coaching and monitoring to colleagues needing purchasing guidance, responding to direct email inquiries from colleagues with purchasing questions and facilitating how to navigate Ariba and Oracle iProcurement tools.

  • Reviewing requisitions submitted by colleagues routed by commodity to the Compliance Manager for proper creation, accurate information and policy adherence.

  • Providing level II Help Desk support for purchasing related issues, questions regarding navigating Oracle and assisting colleagues with purchasing of goods and services from existing vendor base.


Experience and Skills:

  • 3 or more years of Finance or Procurement Services experience or relevant business experience, preferably with managing and driving purchasing, procurement or sourcing.

  • 3 or more years of purchasing experience. Strong knowledge and understanding of the P2P process (requisitions, purchase orders, invoice, receiving, invoicing and payment) and purchasing policies.

  • 3 or more years of customer services experience.

  • Experience with reviewing and understanding contracts specifically; pricing terms, buying channels and payment/invoicing.

  • Understanding of vendor spend, commodities and mapping to general ledger

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Oracle E-Business Suite, Ariba or other end-to-end vendor management platform preferred.

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • Strong ability to work independently and make decisions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
