Summary

Performing production tasks while maintaining a high production pace in all areas of production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but not limited to:

Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
Inspect product for quality, grade and sort by size.
Pack product.
Break oyster clusters and shuck oyster shells
Keep work area clean and sanitized
Proper methods in all production areas.
Maintain proper par levels as instructed.
Communicate supply material levels.
Maintain plant safety.
Maintain and proper use of production equipment.
Keep work area clean at all times.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Provide back up support for other duties as needed.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required:

Prior experience in shucking oysters

Preferred:

Experience with the utilization of food processing equipment, sanitation and food safety, and the safe operation of fork lifts and powered pallet jacks.
Experience with radio frequency hand held scanners and quality control.
Prior experience in food production environment
Experience with the utilization of knives in meat cutting, fish filleting and/or shucking oysters.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

VIEW JOBS Summary Responsible for overseeing the smooth, efficient and correct performance of position duties of the Opening Room crew. Ensure staff are properly trained and are working safely and efficiently to meet product quality, recovery and productivity expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to: * Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times * Plan own work activities, including coordination of work activities of others * Monitor performance of team members within the crew * Assist with crew scheduling * Coordinate and assigning duties of team members; provides team member training * Maintain product specifications for company and customer product; track and maintain inventory levels * Oversee shucking activities to ensure production recovery goals are met * Ensure that product is graded to specifications meeting production deadlines and order requirements * Keep and maintain records of production * Regularly perform product quality verifications * Perform daily counts * Maintain legible and accurate records or logs as required * Track and record productions in inventory tracking (APC) * Make sure hygiene and safety regulations are followed * Perform other duties, as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Opening Room team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Two plus years of lead or supervisory experience in a processing environment * Experience with the utilization of shucking knives, food processing equipment, and food safety. Preferred: * Forklift certification * Bilingual in English and Spanish B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements * None C. VIEW JOBS Summary Responsible for assisting with general farm operations including, but not limited to the planting, maintenance and harvest of the company's clam and oyster beds. Will perform general grounds maintenance and upkeep and assist with various projects as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to: * Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times. * Perform tasks on the shellfish beds as directed, to include harvesting oysters in tubs, installing pipe and hanging longlines, and planting, maintaining and harvesting clam beds. * Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively in inclement weather and adverse conditions that are typically found on the tide beds and on the boats. * Assist with farm organization and clean up as directed. * Operate various farm equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and farm boats. * Complete paperwork, logs and maintain records as required. * Maintain farm safety at all times; comply with company health and safety guidelines. * Provide back up support for other duties as needed, to include acting as a deckhand on the dredge boats, cutting longline pipe and making longlines. * Sort graded oysters and re-basket * Clean and inspect seapa baskets; repair as needed * Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job. A. Education and Experience Preferred: * Minimum of six months related experience in the construction, manufacturing, farming, or related industry. * Prior boat operator experience and license. B.
