XPO Independent Contractor Qualifications:

Please apply if you meet these minimum requirements below.

  • At least 23 years of age

  • At least 18 months (1.5 years) of verifiable experience within the previous five years

  • If an applicant has 3 years of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience while serving in the Military, we will now credit them 18 months of road experience (call for details).

  • No more than two moving violations or one preventable accident within the past 36 months

Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements * Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials * Hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area * Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device * Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed * Perform routine maintenance to include recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling and cleaning * Weigh materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules * Make sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area * Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
