Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is seeking two (2) hardworking and dependable candidates just like you to apply!
Responsibilities of the Overnight Program Deckhand:
Perform as a member of the Patriots Point Overnight Program for the development and execution of Operation Overnight activities and educational experiences. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High school diploma and driver's license are required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience working with the general public and school aged children.
Ability to effectively communicate with guests and potential customers as well as other staff members.
Ability to maintain a professional, personal appearance when on site or promoting the program.
Knowledge of the USS Yorktown, military history, and naval best practices or the desire to learn about these aspects of the program.
Background in education or some relevant experience with giving tours/instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
Up to date First Aid and CPR certifications (The agency offers these certifications through its Fire and Life Safety division).
Experience working with overnight/camping and/or youth groups.
