Overnight Pharmacist (7 On - 7 Off)

Department: Heritage Valley Beaver

• Inpatient Pharmacy

Work Hours: 7 on/7 off

• Monday through Monday (8pm-6am); work 70 hours per pay cycle and receive pay for 75 hours with shift differential; holidays will be worked as they line up with specific bi-weekly rotation.

This important position will be responsible for order verification, pharmacy clinical work, and other essential elements of workflow with a full-time pharmacy technician. This position is responsible to provide consultative and drug information services to the medical and nursing staff for all 3 campus overnight.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy

• Pharmacy license of good standing in the state of Pennsylvania

• Ability to work well under pressure with minimal staff while having flexibility to do what is necessary to successfully complete various tasks that come about throughout the night-shift

• Must have the ability to expertly communicate verbally and in writing

• Must be adaptable to change

• Must know and understand the law as it applies to hospital practices.

Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred

• Three years of night-time shift hospital experience.

• At least 3 years experience working in a mid-to-large sized hospital inpatient pharmacy setting.
