Eliot is seeking an overnight Group Care Worker to provide supervision and monitoring of youth in a Department of Child and Family Service funded program. The ideal individual will have 1 year experience working with latency age or adolescent children in a residential setting.

Eliot's Social Services Division includes short term community based assessment programs and group homes for children (birth to 12 years old) and adolescents (13 to 21 years old). The programs are contracted with the Department of Children and Families and provide a safe, structured and respectful environment for children and youth to thrive, change and grow by focusing on treatment, skill building and permanency.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily coordination of youth in executing the plan of the day

  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Action Plans.

  • Attend staff and shift change meetings and trainings as required.

  • Ensure safety and security of program including security checks.

  • Monitor and report on program culture.

  • Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of facility.

  • Conduct room and client checks according to Overnight Policy.

  • Obtain and maintain Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification per Agency

  • guidelines.

  • Be a positive and professional role model for staff and residents.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday; 10pm-6am;(Sunday & Monday off)

The Clinical Social Worker will provide case management services independently including but not limited to application of clinical diagnostic, assessment or treatment knowledge or skills. Identify and address psychosocial factors that may impede the patient#s ability to optimize benefit from the health care delivery experience, Intervene as necessary preventing over and under utilization of health care resources, actively participate in discharge planning to assure timely individual patient discharges within the scope of position responsibilities, ability to authorize a section 12A emergency evaluation of the person by a psychiatrist, responsible for on-call coverage/shift coverage and holiday coverage, provide clinical supervision of other social work professionals, various affiliating students and where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation. Duties involve supervisory responsibility for no more than 1 or 2 personnel at any one time.## *Primary focus is Emergency Room however, position requires an understanding of med floors and coverage in all areas.# Education and/or Experience Requirements: A Master#s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university or the equivalent knowledge or experience is required. Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required. Over 3 years of related work experience including one year experience in a medically oriented setting is required. Computer skills are essential.
