For more than 35 years, we've developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.

We are searching for a Part-Time Overnight Direct Support Professional to work in our apartment program located in Shadyside, PA.

Schedule: Friday and Saturday 10p-8a

Responsibilities

Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:

• Provides minimum to maximum assistance with all areas of activities of daily living (ADL's).

• Promote our clients' success in daily living tasks, recreational activities, vocational pursuits, medication management, and physical and cognitive activities.

• Accompanying clients to appointments, in the community and and other outings as assigned

• Candidates must be comfortable working with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients

Qualifications

Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

• A minimum of a HS Diploma/GED required (associate's or Bachelor's preferred)

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained

• Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation

• Time management skills

• The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers

• The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills

• Diplomas from non-U.S. educational institutions must include professional documentation/evaluation that the non-U.S. educational program is equivalent to or exceeds U.S. educational requirements; documentation is required prior to becoming an employee
