HDE (Home Depot Exteriors) Sales Consultants are primarily responsible for selling Home Depot's do-it-for-me services to clients in their homes. Sales Consultants spend the majority of their time traveling to and engaged in professional sales presentations in customers' homes. While at customers' homes, Sales Consultants assess customers' needs, recommend products that fulfill these needs, develop price quotes, and present warranty information and financing options. They work with customers to complete the necessary sales contracts and paperwork. Sales Consultants are also responsible for generating sales leads inside their assigned stores and during scheduled lead generation events, maintaining relationships with assigned stores in an effort to drive their sales, attending meetings, and participating in and/or facilitating training on HDE products and service offerings. Sales Consultants earn commissions based on their sales and are also eligible for monthly bonuses based on sales performance.


  • 70%-Conduct professional sales presentation inside customers' homes. Complete assessment of customers' needs while at their home. Present warranty and available financing options to customers. Prepare for appointments, commute to/from appointments, process sales-related paperwork.
  • 30%-Generate leads at assigned store. Participate in scheduled lead generation events. Develop/maintain relationships with store management and associates. Attend branch/team meetings. Attend store meetings and facilitate/participate in training on HDE products and service offerings.


Position reports to Sales Manager

This position has no direct reports.



Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years

Physical Requirements:

Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Additional Qualifications:

Sales Consultants must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous residential, in-home sales experience.

  • Prior experience in the home improvement industry.

  • Proficiency with computer/iPad and related programs.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Our Executive Programs, Internal Audit unit, is in need of an Information Technology Auditor, Information Technology Specialist 6 (ITS6). In this role you will serve as the highest level authority for ESD in information system auditing, which includes specialties in security, information system controls and business analysis. This is an expert professional level position to provide technical and organizational leadership in information system auditing. You will relied upon for providing information technology audits, system security consultations, technical assistance, identifying and evaluating technology risks, mitigation controls, and opportunities for internal control improvement. Utilizing your advanced technical, and business knowledge to independently deal with high risk and high profile initiatives that may impact significant and fundamental public services will be essential to your success in this role. Additionally, you will coordinate information technology program review planning processes for assigned program areas in collaboration with the ESD Chief Information Officer, ESD Chief Information Security Officer, ESD executives and managers, the State Auditor's Office and other external entities. You'll be relied upon to use your familiarity with General Computer Controls, COBIT framework, COSO framework and NIST Standards for auditing information technology assignments. You will also participate in information technology task forces, committees and other initiatives affecting department polices and systems. Some of what you'll be doing: * Providing senior management and the commissioner with independent and objective assurance on governance, risk management, and controls over cybersecurity. * Assessing the overall effectiveness of the activities performed by management and staff in managing and mitigating cybersecurity risks and threats. * Providing independent objective assessments that the IT-related controls and systems are operating as intended. Including auditing applications controls to ensure they are designed appropriately and operating effectively. * Conducting independent audits to assess compliance with OCIO IT security standards, reporting deviations to the OCIO at least once every three years. * Assessing whether IT control deficiencies represent material weaknesses or significant deficiencies to financial and other key reporting. * Assisting OIA staff conducting audits/consultation with IT data related analysis. * Assessing vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructures that may impact internal controls by completing and maintaining an inventory of ESD's IT hardware, software, network, and data components. * Assessing the effectiveness of IT governance components and providing assurance to senior management that principles and practices are followed and working as intended. * Conducting consulting engagement as allowed by the internal audit charter and approved by the director of Internal Audit. * Maintaining an ongoing open dialogue with senior management to ensure that substantial organizational and risk changes are being addressed in a timely manner. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field AND four years of IT experience performing position specific duties specializing in security, information system controls and business analysis. OR A combination of IT related education and/or relevant IT experience, equating to 8 years. AND Has a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation or is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). The most successful candidate will also have extensive and demonstrated experience with: * Ability to maintain high ethics and integrity * A working knowledge of General Computer Controls, the COBIT Framework, and the NIST Standards. * Ability to work as a member of a team, communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Desired Qualifications: * Knowledge and experience with ESD systems. * Knowledge with the Software/System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT Project Management. * Have a working knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors "International Professional Practices Framework".
