HDI Sales Consultants (SC) are primarily responsible for selling Home Depot s do-it-for-me services to clients in their homes. Sales Consultants spend the majority of their time traveling to and engaging in professional sales presentations in customers homes.

While at customers homes, SCs assess customer needs, recommend products that fulfill those needs, develop price quotes and present warranty information and financing options. They work with customers to complete the necessary sales contracts and paperwork. Sales Consultants are also responsible for generating leads inside their assigned stores and during scheduled lead generation events, maintaining relationships with assigned stores in an effort to drive their sales, attending meetings and participating in and/or facilitating training on HDI products and service offerings. Sales Consultants earn commissions based on their sales and are also eligible for monthly bonuses based on sales performance.

80%- Conduct professional sales presentations inside customers homes. Complete assessment of customer needs while at their home. Present warranty and available financing options to customers. Prepare for appointments, commute to/from appointments and process sales-related paperwork.
20%- Generate leads at assigned store. Participate in scheduled lead generation events. Develop/maintain relationships with store management and associates. Attend branch/team meetings. Attend store meetings and facilitate/participate in training on HDI products and service offerings.


This position reports to a Sales Manager.

This position has no direct reports.



Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years

Physical Requirements:

Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior in-home sales experience

Prior home improvement industry experience

Prior experience with successful lead generation

Computer and application skills and use of varied technology (email, iPad, apps, etc.)

The WSLCB is seeking an analytical minded person that can "think outside the box" as a Licensing Specialist. In order to be successful as a Licensing Specialist, you will need to be a self-starter independently managing an ongoing assigned caseload of investigations for liquor licenses. This specialized work involves having strong communication skills interviewing applicants, reviewing documents received, and preparing reports summarizing the investigative findings. You will be responsible for determining if new and current businesses are qualified to hold a liquor license. In this position it is important to work closely with a team of investigators, license applicants and applicant representatives (attorneys, accountants, etc.) while having daily contact with other divisions and agency employees (Customer Service and Support staff, team leads, managers, and the Enforcement division) regarding license applicants. Duties Here are some of the primary duties you'll enjoy doing: * Independently manage an assigned caseload of investigations on liquor license applicants. * Conduct in-depth interviews to determine eligibility and assess document requirements. * Analyze written material (financial statements, loan documents, bank statements, leases, purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, closing documents, and numerous other legal documents) to confirm True Party of Interest and rule out illegal funds, hidden ownership or other disqualifying factors. * Evaluate oral information received from applicants, the Enforcement Division, and external sources, such as, local authorities, other state and/or federal agencies, etc. to determine impact on investigation., * Research violation history of applicants to assess public safety risk. * Evaluate and approve floor plans for applicable license types. * Approve routine new, in lieu of, added class, change of location and assumption applications. * Determine if there are disqualifying factors and/or public safety concerns, statutory or regulatory concerns that may result in referral of the file to a Licensing Specialist Senior for processing. * Research, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to determine applicant eligibility. * Inform and assist a variety of applicants and/or citizens with any questions/problems they may be having regarding the licensing process. * Conduct research and or refer emails that are received or sent from many different sources i.e. management, other agency divisions, applicants/representatives, other outside sources and written response. * Identify and correct errors found in the computer database and license files on current liquor licenses; * Work with applicants/current licensees answering questions, helping with problems and referring to optional services and other agencies as necessary; Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Two years of experience providing analyzing and interpreting program financial documents, laws, and regulations for license qualification and issuance; and interviewing and researching/review duties involving public contact. OR * Completion of two years of college or business school with major study in finance, business or public administration, economics, law, accounting, or closely allied field (60 semester or 90 quarter hours) Desired Qualifications: * Learn, understand and explain regulatory statutes, rules, policies and procedures. * Maintain effective communications with all levels within the organization. * Maintain and build working relationships characterized by mutual acceptance and cooperation. * Multi-task and prioritize. * Experience working with an electronic imaging and work-flow management system. * Proficiency in oral and written communication.
