The Defense and Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Outside Plant QA Manager to work in the Pentagon, Washington D.C.


This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Defense Information Systems Agency, Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management organization. In this mission we manage Local Area Network/Metropolitan Area Network/Wide Area Network Connectivity, Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) technology for Long Haul and Point to Point Communications.

We will operate, maintain, deploy, and manage an existing Government furnished network infrastructure. A majority of the tasks will be within the National Capital Region.


Quality lead for outside cable maintenance. Serve as the subject matter expert to the government Quality Control (QC) Inspector and Branch Chief.

Perform QA inspections for all OSP projects and MACs. Review the final project documentation and use it to ensure that all modifications to the JSP communication infrastructure conform to JSP Standard Operating Procedures and industry standards. Responsible for providing a weekly report to the Government QC Inspector and Branch Chief of all work that has been completed and is ready for Government Audit.




  • BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Years of work experience may be substituted one for one with college years.


  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

Years' Experience:

  • Five (5) or more recent/current year's professional experience within the designated SME area beyond BA/BS or equivalence (except where otherwise specifically noted). Must have a minimum of three (3) recent/current years' experience working in an IT environment similar in size (or larger) and scope to this task order.

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) recent/current year's working knowledge of large, complex IT environments; same or similar to this task order.

Specific Experience:

  • Design and installation of communication infrastructure such as but not limited to equipment installation, cable installations, cable fabrication, cable trays/cabinet installations; knowledge of DOD network and system security requirements

Demonstrated Experience:

  • Working knowledge of telecommunications industry standards as well as system design and engineering concepts; ability to understand and apply technical concepts and ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools; knowledge and experience of basic understanding of infrastructure such as but not limited to wiring/connectivity; must have 3-5 years of current experience in a field that provides knowledge useful for managing current IT installation requirements

Position Summary Responsible for the overall safe and efficient production and/or delivery of ready mix concrete while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction at an assigned facility. Responsible for facility's inside the beltway in NOVA.. Primary Duties Include: * Operates plant while maximizing material production and minimizing plant interruptions and/or breakdowns. In addition, performs basic maintenance activities including greasing, lubricating and inspection of plant components. * Assist current plant supervisor with record keeping and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance. * Travel to other facilities is required and must have reliable transportation. * Supervise drivers at locations without a driver supervisor. * Position will have a primary area of roving coverage. The position will typically have a rotating schedule to operate and supervise at one of the plants in the coverage area. The position may also be required to travel to other plants and perform other duties as necessary and/or directed. Essential Responsibilities: * Ability to operate wet and dry ready mix plants. * Maintain a quality product. * Perform basic maintenance activities * Perform various ongoing housekeeping responsibilities. * Complies with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other company policies, procedures and requirements. * Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as, bend and lift up to 45 pounds. * May work outdoors and exposed to varying and/or extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat, wet, cold, etc.) * Must be able to work required overtime and flexible work schedule. * Must be able to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language. * Must be or be able to become VDOT certified as soon as possible. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: * High School Diploma/GED is required. Experience: * Minimum of two years' experience in the construction/ready mix industry preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Must have strong working knowledge of the ready mix concrete processing equipment such as ready mix concrete plants, conveyor systems and loaders. * Must be observant and alert to the movement and condition of equipment within assigned responsibility area. * Be mechanically inclined and have ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in relation to plant operations. Performs housekeeping – maintain a clean and safe working station. * Performs record-keeping requirements. * Must have basic computer skills. * Looking for a person that has "Strong Leadership Skills." * Having experience with Command Batch would be a plus.
