What you'll be doing...

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the network build associated with delivering services to Verizon customers. It is a service center environment working directly with internal and external customers and vendors.You will be responsible to manage the overall delivery schedule and timeline, and escalating issues internally and externally if needed to ensure customer due dates are met. Coordinating and scheduling resources across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and key objectives. Identifying, monitoring, reporting and escalating project related issues to achieve timely objectives. Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives. Utilizing project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions. Maintaining excellent communication with functional team members, direct management, and external customers to ensure early identification of issues a timely reporting of status.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Associate's degree or two or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Valid driver's license.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Experience working in a call center environment.

  • Telecommunications Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational and external customer communications.

  • Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, priorities to successful completion.

  • Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.

  • Ability to identify and fix a problem.

  • Ability to enjoy the challenge of working through complex, cross-functional issues towards a solution.

  • Detail oriented and thrive under deadlines,

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.

  • PMP certification.

  • Ability to negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization and influence decisions that yield the best results for our company.

  • Technical or project management experience.

  • Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows and MS Office.

VIEW JOBS 3/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-06T00:00 Overview This position supports and directly impacts the overall performance metrics for the entire manufacturing plant. The MFG Engineer Co-op establishes and directs manufacturing practices, processes, procedures, fixtures, tooling, and equipment for production with the ultimate goal of achieving higher quality and productivity. A successful engineer will also take into consideration environmental and financial objectives. This position requires the use of lean manufacturing principles to minimize inventory, maximize throughput, and optimize facility utilization. Responsibilities * Support MFG Engineers by providing first level equipment and floor support to assigned work cells. * Develop tooling and work holding fixtures in support of existing and/or new products. * Ability to apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate the waste and non-value added activity in the manufacturing process is a plus but not required. * Generate work instructions, process control procedures, operating procedures, and process maps. * Work with operations, product engineers, and manufacturing engineers to enhance manufacturability of new and existing products. * Collect and analyze data to improve products and manufacturing processes, leading to higher standard of quality, cost reduction, and increased efficiency. * Assist engineers with time studies for routings in the JDE system and to form a baseline of existing processes on the plant floor. Assist in the creation/revision of Bills of Material. * Help manufacturing engineers and value stream managers identify and implement safety & continuous improvement ideas on the production floor. * Design work cell layouts to improve productivity and material flow, which can also include the design and construction of assembly work stations and flow racks. * Collect and analyze data to improve products and manufacturing processes, leading to higher standard of quality, cost reduction, and increased efficiency. * Perform other duties as assigned. Working Relationships: Work independently and productively with other members of the Process Engineering Team and maintain open and direct communication. While working in a team environment, you should feel comfortable contributing to the overall-manufacturing mission, with the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently. You must also offer ideas for new systems that ensure expandability according to Symmons growth mission. Carry out implementation schedules, which promote smooth transition to modern manufacturing techniques. Qualifications * Candidate for BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. * Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and other manufacturing software and tools is a plus. * Must have good English written and verbal communication skills. * Experience in tool and work holding fixture design and machinery assembly system design is a plus.
