Highline College is seeking applicants for two (2) full-time Outreach & Recruitment Advisors.
General Description: The Outreach & Recruitment Advisor works to develop, support, and execute the College's outreach and recruitment plan with the Director of Outreach and Recruitment and other internal stakeholders. Those stakeholders include Enrollment Services (Admissions), the Welcome Center and Entry Advising, and Academic Affairs (instructional programs). The Outreach Coordinator is primarily responsible for new student recruitment. To recruit effectively, they will need to learn and convey critical information about the college, such as the application process, how to become a Highline student, how to access resources to finance college, and information about student support services and the various instructional program offerings.
Given the nature of this role, exceptional customer service and communication skills are paramount. Highline is engaged in developing a long-term strategic enrollment management plan and Outreach and Recruitment will be a critical cornerstone to this plan and alignment with other college programs.
Highline College's recruitment work actively promotes the value and benefit of higher education to local communities and all potential students, including high school populations, non-traditional students, and Latinx and BIPOC populations. The Outreach Recruitment Coordinator will have frequent public contact and requires the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse racial, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
This is a full-time exempt salaried overtime-eligible position.
Essential Tasks
Reporting to the Director of Outreach & Recruitment:
Recruit new students to Highline College;
Support new students (and their families) as they navigate becoming a student at Highline;
Ensure seamless hand-off of prospective students to the Admissions & Entry Advising process;
Execute a goal-oriented and results-driven strategic plan for recruitment;
Manage recruitment activities and prospective student communication with Highline's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool;
Evaluate the effectiveness of the work, report outcomes, and identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement;
Effectively communicate degree and program offerings;
Effectively communicate and assist prospective students in navigating financial aid and scholarship processes;
Support recruitment events both on- and off-campus;
Assist in preparation of public presentations and be able to deliver information in a way that is appropriate to different audiences;
Participate in department and other college meetings;
Collaborate with internal and external partners;
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Previous experience at a college or university;
Bilingual: Ability to speak/read/write in language other than English.
