We are currently accepting qualified applications for an Outreach Program Coordinator Technician to support one of our Government clients at Aberdeen, MD.
Work Description:
  • Coordinates day-to-day operations of ARL outreach program.
  • Coordinates internal communications, encouraging information and knowledge transfer across groups.
  • Develops linkages with Federal and non-Federal Agencies that provide Science and Technology interface.
  • Coordinates target populations access to ARL services.
  • Provides support to the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program.
  • Initiates outreach to the target population using telephone, mail and visits in the community.
  • Coordinates and integrates activities inside and outside the organization.
  • Provides input to program plans providing best of current successful projects to stimulate
  • development and improvement of programs.
  • Provides expert presentations and briefings on all aspects of outreach activities.
  • Oversees implementation of program marketing plans to ensure an integrated communication
  • strategy for the outreach program.
  • Monitors program progress toward organizational goals and makes suggestions to improved
  • Stays abreast of all programs and presentations related to the outreach program.
  • Recommends new approaches designed to make the outreach program desirable to Federal and
  • Non Federal Agencies.
  • Develops recommendations of minimum standards to incorporate new services into existing programs.
  • Ensures safe environment for outreach program facility.
  • Promptly reports workplace accidents to the Safety Manager.
  • Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on professionalism and courtesy.
  • Supports internal and external customers and communicates positively in a professional manner.
  • Work schedule may fluctuate to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours. May travel to complete work assignments or attend conferences and meetings.
  • Provides on-the-job training to other contractor personnel.
Education/Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelors Degree with two (2) years of specialized experience in program coordination; OR four (4) years of specialized experience demonstrating the ability to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, monitoring programs, preparing and presenting technical information, and interacting with the public and one (1) year of experience that shows particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully in the duties of the position.
  • Working knowledge of the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

VIEW JOBS 9/22/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-21T00:00 SMITH & Associates Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Service College Fellowship Program Coordinator to provide administrative and program coordination within the Defense Acquisition Universitys (DAU) Senior Service College Fellowship (SSCF). Location for this effort will be both Sterling Heights, MI and Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Travel may be required at the discretion of the DAU. This will be a contract position for nine (9) months with extension of service possible. Background Information The DAU SSCF program is a 10-month leadership/educational opportunity conducted under the auspices of the Defense Acquisition University in Huntsville AL, Sterling Heights MI, and Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) MD. The programs purpose is to provide leadership and acquisition training to prepare senior level civilians for senior leadership roles such as Product and Program Managers, Program Executive Officers, and other key acquisition positions. SSCF also helps prepare participants for positions in the Senior Executive Service (SES). The program is quite intense and provides the fellows with an opportunity to think and reflect, which is not often afforded in the government workplace. The program starts in July of one year and ends in May of the following year. Job Description The Senior Service College Fellowship Program Coordinator shall provide a variety of pertinent duties to assist the DAU and SES in carrying out their roles in education. Normal work hours are Monday Friday, 8am 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break. This is a full-time position and may require overtime based on operational needs and shall not exceed 50 duty hours. Details of duties are noted below. Position Requirements Position Requirements include, but are not limited by, the following: * A Bachelors degree is desired. * Prior clearance is desired. * Working knowledge of the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system is required, to include conducting research within the system and submitting purchase requisitions. * A working knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS) is also desired to be able to assist the fellows with travel arrangements, when required. * Coordinate and communicate with SSCF students/customers/guest speakers/faculty regarding information and requirements. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, audio/visual equipment and data collection in support of classroom and student information and materials. * Ability to lift up to 50lbs of materials without assistance. * Must have the ability to work independently using judgment, diplomacy and tact in dealing with employees and customers. * Must have the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to changes within the program. Position Tasks Coordinate New Classes * Send welcome letter to new fellows; obtain bios, photos, resumes. * Assist in ordering leadership books. * Prepare orientation handbooks. * Coordinate orientation. * Setup workspace for each fellow. Coordinate Graduation * Schedule date of graduation. * Prepare and send out invitations. * Coordinate the program and location. * Prepare script and presentations. * Coordinate and schedule guest speakers. * Coordinate / setup for reception Coordinate Guest Speakers * Coordinate Travel * Research presenters and quotes. * Create and route certificates of completion. * Take photos of events. * Assist in invoicing and payments to DAU and vendors. Coordinate Seminars and Workshops * Research presenters and quotes. * Create and route certificates of completion. * Take photos of events. * Assist in invoicing and payments to DAU and vendors. Assist in preparation of the weekly and monthly reports for DAU. Maintain the master schedule for the fellows. Assist the SSCF Site Director, Fellows and other SSCF Program Coordinators with travel. Marketing and Media Updates * Update the SSCF brochure with new information. * Update the DAU Internet webpage. Monthly Financial Reporting * Assist in maintaining the monthly financial report receive from the DAU-S Budget Officer. * Assist the SSCF director in maintaining a spreadsheet to track all expenditures * Create purchase requests. Create a detailed report of all personally performed activities monthly.
